Eligibility Requirements for Canada Graduate Research Scholarships (CGRS) Fully Funded 2026

The following are the eligibility requirements for Canada Graduate Scholarships for 2025/2026 Academic session in top Canadian Universities;

  • Must be either Canadian, permanent residents of Canada and foreign citizens.
  • Must be seeking first doctoral degree (including joint program such as MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, or JD/PhD, MBA/PhD
  • Must be applying as a full-time doctoral students and research at the nominating institution.
  • have completed no more than 20 months of full-time study in your doctoral program as of May 1, 2026
  • have completed no more than 32 months of full-time study in your doctoral program as of May 1, 2026

Duration for Scholarship
