Undergraduate Degree International Excellence scholarship benefits University of Waikato

One year tenure (First Year Only)
Applicants are awarded up to awarded up to $10,000

Two year tenure (2 Years Only)
Applicants are awarded up to awarded up to $10,000 for First year and will receive the remaining $5,000 in the second year making a Total of $15,000 Scholarship value towards Tuition fee only.

Three year tenure (3 Years Only)
Applicants are awarded up to awarded up to $10,000 for First year and will receive the  $5,000 in the second year and remaining $5,000 in the Third year making a Total of $20,000 Scholarship value towards Tuition fee only.

Postgraduate Degree International Excellence scholarship benefits University of Waikato

For Masters and PhD, International Students will Benefit up to NZD$15,000 which is Applied towards tuition fee for the First year only.

NOTE: Applicants Applying for a Full-time Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree are Eligible For this Scholarship ONLY, as Online or Distance or Part-time programmes are not Eligible.

Eligibility Requirements for University of Waikato International Excellence Scholarships 2024

• International Students for both Undergraduate and postgraduate Programmes can apply for this scholarships only as New Students.
• New Zealand Citizens or Legal Resident are not Eligible
• Applicants Must Have a minimum GPA-equivalency of B+ (Second class Upper)  in the most recent qualification
• Applicants Not Currently Enrolled in the University as at the Time of Application.
• not have paid fees at the time of application;
• Applicants who are Not undertaking a Sponsorship Programme either Government scholarship in New Zealand or Study Grants.
• Applicants Must Agree to the Scholarship policy
• Applicants Must have Received a conditional or unconditional offer of place from the University of Waikato.

• You will be required to Upload Documents requested before You Can gain access to the Scholarship tab.
• After Create a MyWaikato account Login and Click on the ‘Scholarships’ tab and select the scholarship.
• Select University of Waikato International Excellence Scholarship.
• You are required to write why you want to study at the University of Waikato. (100 words)
• Also, You are required to write in 100 words or less tell us how you will be a global ambassador

NOTE: If for any reason a recipient is unable to complete enrolment and begin
study at University of Waikato within the same calendar year, they may request a deferral of their scholarship by writing to [email protected].

Successful Applicants are to receive the scholarship offer which is valid for 14 days or scholarship will no longer be valid and then you will also an Offer Letter to assist in any student visa application.

The New Zealand NCUK University of Waikato Bursary: This is a Bursary applied to only students from NCUK university coming to study in the University of Waikato as Online Learning are Not Eligible for this Bursary.

University of Waikato International Entrance Scholarship for School Leavers: Talented International Students for Both undergraduate and Postgraduate Study are Eligible for this Scholarship which value up to NZD$20,000.
