The following are the criteria for applying to either taught masters or PhD in law and criminology program at the Maynooth University in Ireland;
Taught Masters
- Applicants must meet requirements for taught master’s programme
- A minimum 2.1 honours undergraduate degree to be considered for a Taught Master’s Scholarship.
- Applicants who applied for a full-time taught master’s programme at Maynooth
University by the scholarship closing date are considered eligible for the scholarship. - Applicants must receive a conditional offer of a place on their chosen programme by 26 July 2024
- Applicants receiving other forms of external scholarship are not eligible
PhD
- Candidates should ordinarily hold a master’s degree in Law or Criminology, or a cognate discipline, with a 2.1 honours or higher.
- Applicants with a 1st class undergraduate degree in Law or Criminology, or a cognate discipline, will be considered.
- Applicants must have secured a supervisor in the School of Law and Criminology

- €18,500 per annum as a maintenance Award.
